Robert Rognstad

A Racine, Wisconsin native, Robert began his career in 1998 at LaCrosse Footwear, Inc., formerly known as Rainfair, Inc., as a Network Administrator. In 2002 he relocated to the Chicago area to join U.S. Cellular as a Systems Administrator. In 2005, Robert joined Equilibrium IT Solutions as a Systems Engineer, rising through the ranks to manager and eventually into an outside sales / consulting role. Robert studied Business Administration at University of Phoenix and Roosevelt University in Chicago. Robert has earned several technical certifications including Microsoft’s MCSE, Citrix’s CCA and VMware’s VCP certifications.

Being a part of the Chicago Business and Technology community for nearly 15 years Robert traded a comfortable job with a great organization to become an Entrepreneur. In February of 2014, Robert acquired ETS Technology Solutions and has since grown the business to be a premium managed services organization focused on providing co-managed and managed solutions to mid-market businesses globally. Having since grown the business as President along with the incredible support from a fantastic team of colleagues, ETS relocated and upgraded it's headquarters from Lombard to Rosemont in 2019.

Robert is passionate about technology's unique ability to transform organizations and improve people’s lives. Robert feverishly believes in ETS’s unique “Listen First” consulting methodology. Robert is driven to help those around him grow, learn, and participate in the design and implementation of world class technology solutions. Above all, Robert seeks to have fun growing and excelling with those around him. Nothing satisfies him more than seeing others dream big and succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, music, cars, and various sports. He resides in Des Plaines with his wife, daughter and son, who has rare neurological developmental disorder called FOXG1. Since his son's diagnosis Robert has become an advocate for those with special needs and is active in the local community seeking to educate and support those less fortunate.

Outside of work, Robert was elected to The River Trails School District 26 Board of Education in 2019 and reelected to a full 4 year term in 2021. Robert also serves as an appointed member of the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) board where in 2023 Robert was elected Board President. Robert is a strong advocate for children of all abilities while focusing on fiscal responsibility and strategic planning.
